October 2016

APH are now proud sponsors of the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.

The Hospice of the Good Shepherd is a respected provider of palliative care for residents of Cheshire West and Chester and Deeside. They provide services free of charge to patients and families facing life limiting illnesses. They provide an in-patient unit, out-patient services, a day therapy centre and offer complimentary therapies and bereavement support throughout the community.

Their dedicated team of staff and healthcare professionals are available to help patients, friends, families and carers through difficult and painful times and provide practical, emotional, social and spiritual support.

They rely on the generosity of our local communities to fund the crucial work of the Hospice. Less than a third of their £4 million annual running costs come from government funding. The remainder is generated through fundraising, donations, events and corporate partnerships.

We will be doing a number of events over the coming months to support this great cause.

5.08.16 & 10.08.16 Mount Tryfan and Moel Siabod

Last week we helped support local business CJ Charles Ltd on his bid to climb Mount Kilimanjaro next week.

Colin is going to Africa next week to climb the mountain in aid of Claire House Children’s Hospice.

Claire House offers support to many families in and around Wirral. In order to keep up this amazing support it costs millions annually, that’s where I come in. I am to raise £4,000, this will partially cover the costs of embarking upon an amazing journey up Mount Kilimanjaro, with the remaining going directly to the Claire House Charity.

Keep up to date with my progress, training, fund raising & the trek itself by joining the event https://www.facebook.com/events/938851162898692/ & Donate here www.justgiving.com/colincharles1

August - New venue for our fortnightly Networx group!

Our first Network New Brighton meeting at our new venue, Blackberry Grove, is this coming Wednesday, 24th August from 9.00am-11.00 and then every fortnight thereafter. It costs just £10 to attend which includes breakfast and refreshments.

Membership is  growing quickly. We now have 14 members including heating engineer, web designer, accountant, solicitors, financial advisers, energy expert & storage solutions.

So why choose Networx over other networking groups?

Remember, there is no membership fee to secure your business sector at any of the Networx meetings. Networking is the perfect way to get more customers for your business, as the members become part of your sales team. Networx is the perfect networking answer, in our eyes, as it is affordable, and, most importantly, works. Plus unlike other networking meetings, we don’t set you targets to ensure you keep your seat at the meeting.

If you would like to attend please book your seat at networxmorning.eventbrite.co.uk

13.05.16 - Congratulations Ben!

ben_edwardsWell done to our senior manager Ben Edwards. Ben has made the Accountancy Age Young Persons 35 under 35 list.
Ben qualified as an ACCA in February 2015. Immediately upon qualification, he was given the full responsibility of running a practice due to the absence of the MD for personal reasons. In that time Ben continued to move the business forward by increasing the turnover by £100k, dealing with staff issues, recruitment and all the technical issues that come with running a small growing business and an accountancy practice,  and indeed making significant improvements to the business. Check out the full article here http://www.accountancyage.com/2016/05/09/aayp-2016-the-35-under-35/
